Auni was born in Oakland, California, but was raised the majority of her life in Atlanta, GA. She graduated from Auburn University (WAR EAGLE!!!) with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders in 2011. She then decided to return back to Georgia and obtain her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at University of West Georgia. Auni holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), which is a nationally recognized credential awarded by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
Auni started her career in sunny West Palm Beach, Florida, where she worked with children aged 4-12 in the public school system. She then went on to work at one of the top Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Rehab Centers in the Nation in Atlanta, Georgia for more than 8 years. Additionally, she has experience in early intervention and home health.
Auni believes that building a strong and genuine rapport with each client is key to a successful outcome. Her sessions are evidenced-based, but also involve laughter (a lot!), outside of the box therapy sessions, and a plethora of family/client education!
In her spare time, Auni loves to spend time with her 5 (Yes, 5!) sons, husband, and dog.
